What convictions disqualify you from becoming a CNA in Mo.??

My son worked in a Nursing Home for 3 years and became a CNA shortly after being hired there he was honest in telling them he had a felony conviction for involuntary manslaughter from a car accident while he was intoxicated. He was in fact still on probation when hired. There was a turnover in the administrator who ran the Nursing Home and was suddenly fired and told it was because of his felony. If this is true how was he hired to begin with and how was he able to get his certification from the state of Missouri to begin with?
