If you read the small print at the bottom of some of those emails, it says responding won't make a difference, one entry has as much chance as winning or NOT winning as all other entries. But to answer your question simply, they want you to Order something, that is their sole purpose. So every-time you enter their sweepstakes, you typically have to scroll thru their catalog. They make you click on you Special Discount with is always $5 off ONE Tab, then later shoot an arrow and always get 50% Off, no matter where you aim. The more you have to go thru this process, they are hoping you will eventually order something.
I also play their games on pch.com, those all have advertising and commercials they force you to watch or click on every so often, so they are getting money for advertisers for you playing. What they don't realize is using Mozilla Firefox with the Ad-blocker Plus Add-On most of their annoying adds are Blocked. I only have to disable it on a few of the pages, because the add makes you click on it before you can move on, then I reinable it again. So whatever you do, playing their games & or entering their sweepstakes, they make money for the most part.
Something I am tracking and investigating is, I've noticed that some of those Sweepstakes they don't actually give away? For instance from June thru August I received multiple entries, bonus entries, and I entered thru Facebook PCH page, as well as pch.com for the $5,000/week for life, suppose to be given away on August 28th, 2014. I still have several of the emails saying that was the date for that award, No. 4900. Except on August 28th, they gave away a $1 Million Price and a $100,000 Price that was it. No mention of they other ones they said previously would be awarded they same date?
NO $5k/week for life, NO $10 Million, NO $11 Million, NO $240,000/year for life, and NO $1,000/day for life that have all been advertised to been award Aug 28, 2014?
Then I also noticed they all have the same No. 4900, and some have 4900 and a different number depending on the email, like 3550 and 3080. So how can so many different Sweepstakes for different amounts all be the same 4900? Best I can figure out, is they can, because the 4900 isn't real. I asked Danielle PCH Facebook, about the 4900 & what happened to the$5k/week for life to be given away on Aug 28th, 2014. She responding by telling me about the $10k/week for life given away in Nov 2014.
When I got more specific, quoted several emails stating the number 4900 & the various amounts, all saying awarded Aug 28, 2014 I received no further responses. So I will continue to follow up on it, if it is not a real giveaway, then I will take all my documentation to the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Protection Agency, and the Attorney General, or whomever polices Sweepstakes.
Good Luck, some of their sweepstakes are really given away at least.
What is the question!? I would like to know how to search and what to search for in order to have a chance at acquiring the 10 entries. Thank you
Please enter me in the 5000 a week forever giveaway#4900. Thanks PCH.
Actually, mine is a question. If the $5,000 a week prize is already given away, why do we search for these other so-called prize giveaways but never hear that anybody won, just about 4 different "urgent" emails to search and activate yet another "ghost" entry? I go through the motions every morning, but the deadlines have all passed and I have never placed an order although you are legally required to put in those infamous words "no purchase necessary" or "purchasing an item will not increase your chances of sinning" which I am sure your Legal Eagles made you put in following a lawsuit.
